"IGP Instructs CP Lagos for a Comprehensive Investigation into Mohbad's Dead

Two days following the police's assurance of their dedication to a thorough investigation, the acting Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, has authorized a comprehensive inquiry into the passing of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad. 

This announcement was made by the Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, on X, formerly Twitter,

along with a photograph of the IGP and the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Idowu Owohunwa. Adejobi provided context, stating, "IGP and CP Lagos deliberating on the death of Mohbad at the Police Airwing, Muritala Mohammed Airport, Ikeja Lagos on Saturday." He further explained that the IGP promptly instructed CP Lagos to mobilize the command's resources for a thorough investigation, ensuring the CP of full support in handling the case. Mohbad, the acclaimed Afrobeats artist known for his hit track 'KPK (Ko Por Ke)', was previously signed with Marlian Records before establishing his own label, Imolenization, in 2022.
